In the shadow of magnificent Mount Diablo, Shadowbrook Vineyards of Walnut Creek, CA enjoyed its first plantings in 1999. An array of rootstock and varietals was planted, including merlot, cabernet sauvignon, cabernet franc, syrah and chardonnay.

September 24, 2006 marked the first crush done entirely at Shadowbrook Winery's new facility. This 6 minute video documents thishistoric event and shows the grapes being harvested, crushed, and prepared for fermentation. It provides a tour of the winery and its large gracious rooms with high ceilings, fine woods, and attention to detail.
